En este artículo se hará una revisión sobre la filosofía en la Real y Pontificia Universidad de México desde la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII hasta las primeras décadas del siglo XIX, que es cuando tuvo su primera clausura, en particular se abordarán los cambios suscitados en los contenidos de estudio. Este periodo es importarte de analizar porque en esta etapa es cuando la tradición Escolástica recibe críticas sobre la enseñanza de la filosofía y por ello se intenta una renovación.

In this article, it will be done a review about the philosophy at the Royal and Pontifical University of Mexico, during the second half of the XVIII century and until the first decades of the XIX century, when it was first closed, particularly the change made in the studies content. The analysis of this period is important because the scholastic tradition received critics about the philosophical teaching and brought an attempt of update.
