El presente artículo primero presenta una reflexión teórica sobre la relación entre la masculinidad y la migración en contextos de pobreza a través de un estudio de caso que muestra la trayectoria familiar en el tema migratorio y su relación con la masculinidad vista a lo largo de tres generaciones. Desde esta óptica se muestra explícitamente la necesidad de analizar a los varones desde la construcción social de su masculinidad como un proceso social, que atraviesa la estructura, cultura y subjetividad de los hombres en un contexto de migración y en diversas trayectorias generacionales.

The article which it is proposed, considers some of the results of the investigation: juvenile identity in different neighborhoods of Havana City. In these pages the reader will be able to come closer to some premises assumed by the author to develop the triad: identity, young people and neighborhoods, as well as, some of the results obtained starting from the information given by youths of the five selected neighborhoods of the cuban capital: Náutico, Jesus María, Pogolotti, Guaicanamar and La Víbora, they correspond to the municipalities: Playa, Habana Vieja, Marianao, Regla y Diez de Octubre respectly.
