The frequent use of biotechnologies (such as genetic editing and assisted reproduction) compels us to the ethical reflection of the human
condition in the field of medicine, where in a special way the fragility of human beings is recreated. In this line of thought the article aims to show, from the analysis of the case of genetically modified twins, the series of ethical-legal inconsistencies in which this clinical trial incurred in order to emphasize the role that dignity, autonomy and the law have in the field of medicine and biology, because science cannot and must not operate in the parallel of law or ethics.
