In 1983, Héctor Ceballos Lascuráin, Director of the Programof EcologicalTourismofthe UICN, created the neologism "Ecological Tourism" as well as it's preliminar definition. Among eco-tourism's main objectives there are: To create in the human being a conscience of the vegetation, animal life and culture of the place they are visiting, as well as the care of the place that both government and tourist most have; not less important is the economical development for the benefit of the population and the country should receive. Mexico, one of the twelve countries with great biological diversity, with 25,000 kinds of superior plants, among the 6,000 endemic plants. It is also the second country has a considerable number of vertebrates in a neotropical region, and has the first place in endemic species in the western hemisphere. The complex physiographic location of Mexico, and the fusion between two great areas of biogeography, the mild weather, the towns and cities of great beauty, the food, archeology and the warmth of the people makes Mexico an attractive country to be visited each season of the year.
