Abstract
Science and technology advancements during the first half of XX Century has overflow scientific knowledge simultaneously imposed to universities —once more—, to re-direct their objectives and functions. In the Mexican case, the National association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (ANUIES, by its Spanish acronym) has presented a desirable prospective scenario for the Higher Education system intending to incorporate once more humanism to higher education institutions, to be at the height of XXI Century challenges. La Salle University, with a strong humanistic tradition and with the aim of responding to the new challenges posted by social changes, presents a pedagogical model with Lasallian Humanism as an axe, and based on it considers the recommended international and national policies within the formation of the new XXI Century citizen, of the professors accompanying him/her, and the social compromise that provides scientific knowledge with pertinence.
