The objective of this essay is an exploration of the work of the American photographer Francesca Woodman (1958-1981) in relation with the concept of the sublime, theorized by Kant in the Critique of Judgment. The aim is to rethink the aesthetic as a structure, and the concept of the sublime conceived from an aesthetic experience, not as emotion or affection. In the paper, I argue that Francesca´s work establishes a scenario created by her own interaction with space and I demonstrate that her work is situated in the practice of the aesthetic, through an inquiry about its link with performance, body and photography.es_MX
